most British 5 year olds are "failing"
Well, either children are being desperately let down by parents, teachers, society in general and, most of all, themselves (linky: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/7623095.stm )
or, possibly, these early years targets are misguided...
This obsession with age targets is astonishing stupid.
ReplyDeleteWhy not just start school from the very beginning? You even have a reception year.
Let those kids that are more advanced, skip straight to the next grade.
_I_ have a reception year????? LOL.
ReplyDelete"Astonishingly stupid" is an astonishingly accurate description :-)
